Such has been his run at the WSOP so far that Daniel Negreanu exiting an event without cashing is newsworthy in itself. He busted a short while ago from the $3,000 HORSE, missing out on improving a fantastic series in which he has enoyed two final tables and one tenth-place finish for a total of around $310,000.

But while the Canadian - who immediately ran off to play in day one of the $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Draw - has been flying the PokerStars flag proudly for two weeks now, tonight it is the turn of other Team PokerStars Pros to make the headlines.

Ylon Schwartz, who came fourth in the Main Event last November, is second in chips on 115,000, Team PokerStars Holland Pro Marcel Luske is well in the hunt with 90,000, Andre Akkari has 50,000 and Barry Greenstein 35,000.

They are all a mile behind runaway leader Matt Hawrinlenko, who has a number of WSOP cashes to his name but nothing compared to the $311,899 available to the winner here. We had 452 entries and just 48 will get in the money.

Schwartz has not been getting it all his own way, however. But when he does lose a pot, like in a Stud hand a little earlier to Gavin Smith, who made a straight, you never get any histrionics: a dismissive shrug of the shoulders is as much as you'll get from the New Yorker.

Luske, on the other hand, can be more animated, and has been known to burst into song at any moment. Today, though, to the relief of most around him, he's not got his musical hat on.
